What are the cons of Cutco? ›

Cons: cheap, cheap steal which does not take an edge easily if at all unless sharpened by a pro and does not retain an edge for very long; incredibly overpriced. If the most important feature for you is throw your knives in the dishwasher and forget about them, this is your product.

Cutco® Knives have been made for more than 70 years at our factory in Olean, New York.

Cutco Cookware is designed for stove-top use. With the exception of the Gourmet Fry Pans and Griddle, we DO NOT recommend using your Cookware in the oven. If food is left to cool in a covered pan after cooking, the cover may adhere tightly to the pan. Simply reheat to break the vapor seal.
